CONSTRUCTIONS

The stator Housing and and shields are made from grey iron castings. The Stator housing has been provided with a greater number of parallel ribs to ensure ruggedness & better heat dissepation.

CORE

The core is made from low loss, high permeability, varnish insulated electrical grade sheet steel which is compressed, keyed & then clamped to form a rigid structure. This cleated stator stacks, pre wound & hydraullically pressed in cast Iron frame, ensure better stacking, uniform air gap & correct fits.

WINDINGS

The Stator is generally wound with enamelled copper wire with class F insulation connections by electric brazing firm contacts & eliminate loose connections normally prevaleant in soldering.

ROTORS

The Rotor is of squirel cage type, designed to withstand the sever forces encountered during starting. Rotors are specially die-cast skewed for better performance, Each Rotor is dynamically balanced to ensure very low amplitude vibration & low noise level.

TREATMENT

Wound stators are impregnated using polyster resin varnish having class 'F' Thermal stability.

SHAFT

Shafts are made from high carban steel at adequate cross sections to provide exceptional strength and rigidity to minimise deflection & vibration.

TERMINAL BOX

The rigid by scaled terminal box is arranged on the right hand side of the fram when viewed from the driving end.

BEARINGS

Grease lubricated, ball bearings are housed in end shields. These bearings have a 90% survival life of a minimum 30,000 working houre for direct drives.

TEST

Motors are subjected to routine & type testes in accordance with latest standards.
